Fire Damaged Reredos.

 

This project involved work on fire damaged sandstone and alabaster reredos which incorporates four intricate mosaic panels. The conservation involved cleaning all the stone work, consolidating and replicating the missing mosaic with a paint effect.

 

The whole philosophy behind the project was to leave the Reredos as a monument to the fire.
